Why

Common questions

Does it bite?

Yes. It strikes at anything that moves in front of it, so feed with tongs and keep fingers out of the enclosure at feeding time.

Is it easy for a first reptile or amphibian?

One of the easiest. A tub with moist substrate, a shallow water dish, and a meal every few days is essentially the whole care routine.

Can I keep two together?

No. They are cannibalistic and will swallow a tankmate of a similar size. One per enclosure, always.

How often should I feed it?

Juveniles a few times a week, adults roughly once a week. Fat pacman frogs are the most common health problem we see.
