How long does it live?

Fifty years and up, so this is a pet you plan to hand on, not a five-year pet.

What does it eat?

Weeds and leafy greens such as hibiscus leaves and flowers, mulberry leaves and mixed local greens. No fruit, no meat, no cat food.

Can it live indoors?

It does far better outdoors in a secure pen with real sun and a shaded, rain-proof shelter. Indoors only works with strong UV lighting.

How big does it get?

About 18 to 25 cm, one of the manageable tortoises for a small garden.
