Can I handle it?

Very little. They are nervous and delicate, and for most keepers this is strictly a display animal.

How big does it get?

About 75 to 90 centimetres, mostly tail. It is slim and light for its length.

Can I keep two together?

This is one of the few monitors that can live in small groups in a large tall enclosure, but still watch them closely.

Is it difficult and expensive?

Yes to both. It needs a tall humid planted enclosure and an insect-heavy diet, and prices are high.
