Vegetables, leaves and seeds. Almost no insects, so shopping for it is easy and cheap.
Does it smell?
Very little. A dry desert setup with dry droppings is one of the least smelly reptiles you can own.
Can I handle it?
Yes. Most become calm and tolerant, especially captive-bred animals handled from young.
How long does it live?
Twenty years or more, so please think of it as a long-term family pet.
