It is a slower breeder with a lot of variation in pattern, and desirable localities and patterns always sell for more.

Will I see it during the day?

Not often. It is nocturnal and likes to wedge into rock crevices, so give it tight hides and expect evening activity.

Are they difficult to feed?

Hatchlings can be picky and sometimes prefer lizards at first. Always buy one with an established feeding record on rodents.

Can I keep two together?

No. Like all kingsnakes, it may eat another snake. House them separately, always.
